// For OGame Veterans

A modern OGame alternative, free in your browser

If you ever set an alarm to catch a returning fleet, this page is for you. Echoes Beyond is a persistent browser 4X MMO built in the OGame lineage — by people who loved it enough to be honest about what should stay and what twenty years of hindsight says should change.

It is in development, with an open alpha waitlist — and everything below tells you exactly which of its promises are already real.

// Kept

What stays true to the lineage.

The empire grows while you sleep

Mines accrue, queues complete, and fleets arrive on the server clock. Coming back means reading reports, not starting over.

Fleets are a commitment

Movement is real time along real routes, and there is no undo. Committing a fleet means meaning it.

Battle reports worth reading

Multi-round, seeded and auditable — the report shows the odds you fought under, and the same battle always resolves the same way.

Free, in the browser

No download, no install, no client patcher. The tab is the game.

// Rethought

What twenty years of hindsight changed.

The old way

A planet with one build queue

Echoes Beyond

A whole star system: nine orbits, moons and stations, eighteen build slots you lay out yourself

The old way

Numbered universes, split communities

Echoes Beyond

One shared galaxy of two million systems — every commander on the same map

The old way

Formulas on a fan wiki

Echoes Beyond

Every formula printed in the tooltip: base × orbit × specialty × research, every term shown

The old way

Third-party sims (SpeedSim, Trashsim)

Echoes Beyond

The combat simulator is built in, public, and runs the exact engine the server fights with

The old way

Fleet-crash meta above all

Echoes Beyond

Seventeen hulls, T1–T7, in a counter web — swarms gut capitals, flak shreds swarms, artillery outranges everything

The old way

Losing your planets to a stronger neighbour

Echoes Beyond

Borders are permanent by design — future PvP is raid-style, never territorial conquest

The honest part

Echoes Beyond has not launched. The alpha waitlist is open, and the game is in internal testing. Building, exploration, colonisation, research, fleets and combat against the galaxy’s NPC powers are real and running. The galaxy market, alliances and player-versus-player raids are still in development — if raiding other commanders tonight is what you are after, we are not there yet, and we will not pretend otherwise.

What you can do today, without an account: run the combat simulator — every hull, every defense, the live engine — and read the codex to judge the depth for yourself.

// Your Move, Commander

The fleet alarm is optional this time.
